I admit I was in a long hiatus in blogging. Writers block is not even an excuse for me I know. For the past months I’ve been busy with my work that I didn’t just had that time to sit down and write until it occur to me how much I miss it. Travel and writing has always been my passion. It is where I get the “inspiration’ to keep on going no matter what challenges Im going through. Although I had a long “break” from blogging….I didn’t stop from discovering Bohol. This is what this blog is all about. :-)
Months ago I visited Anda. Anda is a fifth income class municipality in the province of Bohol, Phillippines (Wikipedia). Its an almost two hour drive from the city of Tagbilaran (100 km). It is accessible by any means of transportation. On my part I rode a bus from the terminal in Dao District near ICM (the biggest mall in Tagbilaran City). I have no qualms on riding a "public transpo", transportation in a province is way much different than that of a big city like Manila. You can either ride a bus or van that has direct trip to Anda or if there is none scheduled you can ride any bus that will pass by to Anda, on my case I took the bus going to Ubay (also one municipality in Bohol) then drop by at Guindulman main market then rode a tricycle to Anda.

Before I go to a certain place I always do my “research” first. To plan my itinerary or to have an idea which nice spot to visit. Found out that Anda is a town with almost a zero crime rate.Timex triathlon was held in Anda years back. Although lesser known compare to famous tourist attraction here in Bohol like Panglao Island, I’ve heard from locals that it has kilometers of white sand and it is equally beautiful. You see, Bohol I an “oval shaped” island , the coastline of mainland Bohol is consist of mostly blacksand but the “separate small islands” like Panglao Island and Anda has white sand.
I stayed at Anda De Boracay. It is named after the famous Boracay I guess because Anda white beach is like Boracay minus the crowd. Not unlike Boracay or Alona Beach in Panglao Island, here in Anda you wont find many resort or hotels lining up its shoreline. Infact it is still remain like a fishing village where townfolks start their day with fishing and swimming in the unpolluted sea.
